Twenty-nine years after the passing of Muhammad, the Muslims went off the path. Instead of delivering the message, they tried to conquer the world. Someone convinced them that it was their mission and their destiny to conquer the world.
The ironic result is that the Europeans responded by conquering the world, instead of the Muslims.
The world order that we now live in is the world order of European domination. Every nation has been brought into the global economy. Even China, while professing communism, has embraced the capitalist economy. And even the communism that China claims is a philosophy established by Marx and Lenin – European philosophers – although modified by Mao.
The dilemma is that under this global economy, the world is being rendered unfit for human habitation – pollution and climate change, plus the constant menace of nuclear disaster. We human beings may actually exterminate ourselves.
In the message the Muslims are charged with delivering, Allah says to all mankind that claiming that Allah has a son threatens to destroy the world. (Qur’an 19:88-92)
I studied the history of Medieval Europe at Harvard University, and I was profoundly saddened. The condition that Europeans lived in – which they had brought upon themselves, not the result of foreign conquest or domination – was appalling. Ignorance, filth, disease, corruption, oppression. It was almost beyond belief.
The words of Allah are borne out by the condition of Europe in those centuries which they themselves call Dark Ages. This was not the world. This was only Europe. Other parts of the world – especially the Muslim nations, but also China, India, and the nations of the Western Hemisphere – were bathed in the light of civilization. And, literally bathing, unlike the Europeans.
Then, starting in 1415 (for the Portuguese) and 1492 (for the Spanish) – in a continuation of what they themselves called the Reconquista (the reconquest of Spain and Portugal from the Muslims) – the Europeans burst forth onto the world, conquering, exploiting, enslaving, and exterminating. Forcing hundreds of millions to accept the Christian doctrine that the Creator has a son, and exterminating perhaps as many as, or more than, two hundred million people – out of a global population of less than one billion. At least one fifth of all the human beings in the world. And, almost all of them brown-skinned, drastically altering the demographics of the world’s population.
And it’s all the Muslims’ fault – because instead of delivering the message, the Muslims tried to conquer the world. Nothing happens without the permission of Allah.
