Bikini

In the Spirit of the Gracious and Compassionate
Creator of the Heavens and the Earth

“Bikini” is the name of an atoll, a group of 23 islands in the Pacific Ocean, part of the Republic of the Marshall Islands. It was the location of a series of nuclear bomb tests called “Operation Crossroads”, conducted in 1946. The scanty swimwear commonly worn by women is named after this atoll because of the nuclear tests conducted there.

In my opinion, the nuclear bomb is the stupidest weapon ever invented. The long-lasting effects of the nuclear bombs already exploded could conceivably exterminate our entire species. The low-level atmospheric radiation that remains to this day may be responsible for the decline in fertility world-wide. The un-fissioned plutonium (when a plutonium bomb explodes, not all of the plutonium is consumed in the explosion) will poison the environment for tens of thousands of years — not only as a toxic chemical, but also as a source of radiation.

Plutonium is an artificial element — almost non-existent in nature before people created it. It is toxic in even the tiniest quantities. It is also flammable.

Naming a supposed “garment” — which is actually an excuse to appear naked in public — after these stupid and destructive experiments is strangely appropriate. Nuclear weapons (big big booms) are associated in the primitive mind with national power. The bikini “garment” is associated in the popular mind with female power — the power of the supposedly “liberated” woman. Both are stupid and destructive.

Prophet Muhammad is reported to have said that whenever a society is overrun with fornication, that society will be rewarded with famine. We are in the midst of yet another global economic meltdown, but we are obsessed with sex and sexual issues. I turn on the television, or watch a DVD of a TV show, and — ka-boom! — there is a naked woman, and another, and another. How can a man focus on what needs to be done, when constantly turned on sexually?

And then, of course, everyone is having sex at the drop of a bikini. What else is there to do, when you can’t think of anything else?

Who was the clever devil who convinced women that being naked makes them liberated and powerful?
